This is the era for music player phones and Nokia is making waves with its reliable and stylish Nokia 5230 XpressMusic. The Nokia 5230 XpressMusic is embedded with an inbuilt antenna with as many as 262k colors.
Nokia 5230 XpressMusic has a 3.2" display LCD screen with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels (nHD) with 16:9 picture. It is embedded with up to 16.7 million colors with full touch screen display. The dedicated keys, makes the operation of various features very simple. The home screen music plug-in for pause/play, forward, back and voice commands adds to its user friendly options. Nokia 5230 XpressMusic has a responsive touch screen with tactile feedback and accelerometer with auto rotate. The proximity sensor saves power thereby preventing inadvertent touches.
Nokia 5230 XpressMusic has a microSD memory card slot with hot swap that has a max of 16 GB and a 70 MB internal dynamic memory. The power management is handled by BL-5J 1320 mAh Li-Ion standard battery which provides a maximum talk time of 7hours on GSM and approximately 4 hours on WCDMA.
Nokia 5230 has decided to revise its strategy for the fast growing smartphone market so they could gain back the market share as they have been coming down the ladder over the last year. Under the new strategy, Nokia will add value to a host of newly launched high-end phones.
Nokia which remains strong in the low-end volume market, has launched a number of smartphones in the last few months. These include the N97, N86, E75, 6700 and 6208. They also announced two new touchphones, the 5230 and 5530, both at a very competitive price point of around Rs 10,000.
