Nokia X7

Nokia X7

Nokia X7

The Nokia X7-00 has been leaked so don’t expect any official details about it just yet. We’re looking at a Symbian^3 smartphone sporting a 4-inch touchscreen display with 360 x 640 resolution, 450MB built-in memory, 246MB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, dual-LED flash, micro USB support, four speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Firstly, let's be absolutely clear that we don't know this is Nokia's X7, but given the polished, entertainment-centric design (it has four speakers, apparently), we're inclined to believe that it's the real deal. Its screen looks to be the same 4-inch affair as on Nokia's E7, it's running the latest Symbian OS (formerly known as Symbian^3), and pictures of its rear reveal an 8 megapixel camera.is the reassurance that comes from knowing that this supposed X7 can crunch through Need for Speed quite nicely. Jump past the break to see it on video.

Nokia 5233

 Nokia 5233
The Nokia 5233 made an appearance on the FCC today.  The 5233 is similar to the 5230, which was announced back in August.  However, the 5233 only supports EDGE, there is no 3G mentioned in the device’s Test Report.
The 5233’s user manual makes several references to China, so it appears that this device may not make it to the States.  It would be nice, however, to learn when Nokia plans to release either the 5230 or 5233…both S60 devices offer a pretty solid feature set that includes a 3.2” screen, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and ton of multimedia options.

The cell phone services providers are the most helpful ones because they help a lot the others to sell their mobile phones because they include the cell phones in their offers which include also the mobile phones but also the services that they have. There large brands which have manage to extend a lot and to have many partners that are there for helping them to sell and to be near the clients all the time. Nokia is one of the largest companies of this kind and its mobile phones can be found in all the cell phone services providers’ offers and stores and they manage to produce so many models because they also sell a lot.

Nokia N96i

                             Nokia N96i
Nokia’s latest stunning mobile with robust model is N96i. The sophisticated and sexy look mixed with extreme performance is perhaps the cause behind all the hype regarding the Nokia N96i.This, yet to be released by its makers, phone has the concept that has already surpassed all of the Nokia mobile phone features.

Smooth shiny surface, really well implemented slider hinge, big clear screen, fast responses and small details like touch pad navigation or built-in quick stand for watching video, makes using Nokia N96 much more pleasant experience then a year old Nokia N95 in my pocket.
But, as they say a picture is worth a thousand words and a moving picture should be worth even more. So here’s a video demo of Nokia N96:

o DStv and e tv are launching their mobile tv broadcasts this month in South Africa. DStv mobile will be free until March. From April 1, it’ll be R36 a month. Only there’s one little problem – getting your hands on a phone which will let you watch their broadcasts. Apparently there are presently only three phones with the required DVB-H receivers available in South Africa. Two of these are Nokia devices, the Nokia 5330 and the Nokia N96. The other phone is the ZTE F900 (apparently it’s an Acer phone). The only problem is that it probably won’t be too easy to get your hands on these in South Africa. The N96 is a few years old now and has long gone off the market. The 5330 is a more recent device, but I have never even seen it marketed in South Africa. It is claimed that more phones will be available soon. However, most of the smart phones currently getting released still lack a DVB-H receiver (probably for several reasons including cost and space considerations). So you’d basically end up having to buy a particular phone just to get one with a DVB-H receiver. You can get a stand-alone receiver (called the Drifta for R599) to get reception on your computer, but that rather defeats the purpose of mobile TV.
